How do I remove the write protection on my SmartMedia memory card?

I have a Fujifilm SmartMedia memory card for my camera digital. One day, suddenly my comp couldnt read it because he said there was a write protection. How can I remove it?

The other posters are incorrect. First, the copy protection is not the same thing as write protection. And one would think that this cartel has been cited Wikipedia as a source, since copied word for word from them. In any case, I SmartMedia cards and write protection is a label that goes in the circle around the card. To disable write protection, just remove the label. Make sure the circle to make sure there is no label to make sure that has not somehow gotten bright (brightness is activated the write protection). Sometimes the cards or readers go wrong, and show the write protection even when the card is not write-protected. Please try another reader and see if that solves the problem. EDIT: I found this place setting SmartMedia cards, if your SmartMedia card that is the problem: http://www.smartmediarepair.com/ Second Edition: You can find this discussion very informative: http://www.mlancentral.com/forums/showflat.php?Cat=1 , 2,4 & Board = Media & Number = 43,334 & page = 0 & view = collapsed & sb = 9 & o = & fpart = 9
