Poltergeist is the German word, meaning “noisy ghost.” The word comes from the German term poltern which means “to knock” and geist which means “spirit”. The sixth sense is defined as a power of perception seemingly independent of the five senses; keen intuition. Intuition is defined as a sense of something not evident or deducible; an impression.
